Or read the text below:
As we pause to thank God for all the blessings in our life, we can hear the Lord saying, “Where is your heart? My beloved child, what do you truly want? I have given you many things, but you really only need one thing: Me. ‘But Lord,’ you say, ‘how will I pay for my child’s college, how will I pay my medical bills, and what about my house payment? What if I get sick, what if I die, what happens to my family?’ Oh, My beloved children, you have no control over so many things. I can promise you this: you may suffer family problems, medical problems, legal problems, financial problems, career problems, but you will never suffer alone. I suffered it all before you and I suffered it all for you. I bore in My soul and flesh your every suffering. My Father did not spare Me, although I had no sin to atone for. But for you, My children, suffering is different. You suffer with Me and in Me, for you suffer as part of My Body, the Church. When you suffer, remember that I am with you, that this is not your home, and that all things, especially suffering, work for the good of those who love Me. So I say to you, if you want security, if you want strength, if you want peace and joy that remain, if you want an abundant life, if you want the dearest friend anyone can have, perhaps it is I Myself you are seeking. Perhaps I am really all you need.”
