The USCCB has released a letter to Congress identifying the moral criteria for health care reform.
Signed by Archbishop Timothy Cardinal Dolan of New York, Most Rev. William E. Lori, Archbishop of Baltimore, Most Rev. Frank J. Dewane, Bishop of Venice, and Most Rev. Joe S. Vásquez, Bishop of Austin, the letter addresses the need for respect of the dignity of all people, the culture of life, and conscience rights.
The archbishops and bishops also mention the need for protection and support of individuals who choose ministries like CMF CURO: “Those who choose to participate in alternative approaches like health sharing ministries should retain the ability to do so and be further supported.”
