Over the course of human history, the art of health and medicine has evolved tremendously across cultures and eras. When enlightened by the Catholic understanding of the human person, medicine is an art of healing geared towards the cultivation of life.
Health care that is explicitly Catholic can truly cultivate life because it recognizes and respects the human person in every aspect of their being. When it comes to caring for the health of the person, this is vital in discovering the root of any illness and disorder. The source of the problem must be discovered in order to implement an effective cure. Catholic health care does this as it accounts not only for the physical aspects of a person’s health but a person’s body, mind, and soul. This is what distinguishes the Catholic health care option offered by CMF CURO. Through investment in the doctor patient-relationship, adherence to Church teaching, and spiritual community CMF CURO cares for the total health of its members.
Catholic Health Care Respects The Doctor-Patient Relationship
The doctor-patient relationship is a vital aspect of Catholic health care as it has the ability to effect both the physical and spiritual health of a patient. The more comfortable the patient is with their doctor, the more freely they will share their life, thus increasing the doctor’s knowledge of their health. The patient’s greater trust in their doctor will give them peace of mind. If nothing stands between the doctor and the patient, there is greater disclosure, which leads to better health outcomes.
The greater access a patient has to their doctor increases the level of engagement a patient has in their overall health. Rather than being a restrictive mediator between the patient and the doctor, CMF CURO helps you find a Catholic doctor of your choosing, who will truly care and devote substantial time to you and your health and wellbeing.
Catholic Healthcare Engages Church Teachings
The future of our great nation hinges on our health care options and choices. Members of CMF CURO share eligible health care costs in community with the members of Samaritan Ministries International. CMF CURO members are able to take care of their medical needs while fully adhering to the Church’s teachings regarding life and human dignity. Catholics are often forced to compromise on pro-life issues.
By participating with a company that covers abortion in their other plans, you are still paying into a company that pays for abortion. Many Catholics are unjustly and unknowingly forced into this model. CMF CURO provides Catholics with an option that respects and engages their Catholic faith and offers a supportive Catholic community.
Catholic Health Care Cares for Your Family
While primary and preventative care are things our members need to budget for themselves, many of our members report significant savings through participation in CMF CURO:
“Being Catholic, my trust rested with CMF CURO. Since joining, the Lord has blessed me and my family many ways. [This health care option] is not only affordable, but I love that I am sharing with an individual or family, that I know their need and we can pray for them.”
-Mimi, CMF CURO Member
Catholic Health Care Is Rooted In Community
The CMF CURO health care community allows members to bear their burdens together, praying, sharing, and investing their resources with each other. During Lent 2020, a small group of CMF CURO members will be participating in a guided 5-week reflection and discussion. CMF CURO supports and encourages its members to join national pro-life community efforts by attending March for Life each year. Additionally, CMF CURO supports local pro-life Catholic organizations by sponsoring or attending events that our members support, like the CMA National Conference, IHM Homeschool Conferences, Columbus Women’s & Men’s Retreats, the Napa Summer Conference, the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, and FOCUS SLS.
